This is a very sweet maxi dress that heavily utilizes and references back to the Victorian era that Fratini so loved and often used in her designs. The fabric that she chose to use for this dress is a crisp polished cotton that is covered with a bright and vivid floral design. I love the little purple velvet ribbons that highlight the waist and edges. That same velvet is used to adorn each sleeves just above two bands of a pretty cotton cut out lace. Little bows also sit on each sleeve and the sleeves themselves are incredible - each is a huge puffed and exaggerated sleeve that ends at the elbow and is cut to sit wide and full. The bodice is scooped for a bit of skin to show while the skirt cascades to the floor. The skirt is then finished with a more of that same lace that adorns each sleeve. Excellent condition
Unlined and closes with a back painted metal zipper. Note that it was a bit too tiny on the mannequin - it will of course close properly on a girl who fits the dress. Elastic in each cuff. There are small darkened areas here and there on the lace detailing on the sleeves that do not deter on any way.
